We make one table at a time

There is no factory behind this shop. There is a bench, a rack of walnut slabs drying slowly against the wall, and a small number of people who have spent years learning what a piece of wood wants to become.

THE WOOD

It starts years before you see it

A slab has to dry before it can be trusted. Ours sit for years — stacked, spaced, and left alone until the moisture has gone and the timber has stopped moving. Kilns do this in weeks and the wood never quite forgives it.

When a slab is finally ready we read it before we cut. Where the grain runs, where the fissures are, which edge deserves to stay live. A table is decided at that moment; everything after is execution.

THE WORK

Slow on purpose

The resin is poured in one pass and left to cure at its own pace, which is the only way it sets clear instead of cloudy. Flattening takes days. Sanding takes longer, through every grit, until the surface reads as one continuous plane under raking light.

The finish is a food-safe hardwax oil, applied by hand and rubbed back. It sinks into the timber rather than sitting on top of it, so the table can be repaired in ten years instead of replaced.

Tell us the length, the height and the finish. Most pieces can be made to your measurements.

Each piece is crated by hand and sent by freight, anywhere we can reach.
